Migrating artifacts from WebSphere Process Server V7.0.x

You can migrate artifacts from WebSphere® Process Server to IBM® Business Process Manager Server V8.6.0.

About this task

The following product, version, and release level combinations are supported as sources for migrating your business data and applications to IBM Business Process Manager V8.6.0.

If you migrate the target runtime environment to IBM Business Process Manager V8.5.7, you can run the applications that you previously deployed, even if you do not migrate Integration Designer or WebSphere Integration Developer. However, if you want to edit the applications, you must also migrate Integration Designer or WebSphere Integration Developer to a compatible version so the major versions of the two products match.

Instead of migrating the source artifacts individually, you can import your existing workspace by selecting the directory where your workspace is located when IBM Integration Designer is launched. See Considerations for the IBM Integration Designer migration process before you import your existing workspace.

The WebSphere InterChange Migration wizard and the WebSphere Business Integration Server Foundation Migration wizard were removed from IBM Integration Designer V8.5.7. If you have applications that run on WebSphere InterChange Server or WebSphere Business Integration Server Foundation, or applications that you created that use IBM WebSphere Business Integration Adapters, you cannot migrate the applications directly to V8.5.7. You must migrate them using another version of Integration Designer V8.5.x and then upgrade to V8.5.7.
