When you enable business monitoring support for a process
application in the Process Designer, a
monitor model is automatically generated based on the tracking points,
auto-tracked fields, and default KPIs defined in the business process
definition. You can run this generated monitor model on the Process Center server
or you can deploy it with a process application snapshot on a process
server.
Before you begin
Verify that the following prerequisites are complete:
- IBM® Business
Monitor is
installed
- The default Business Monitor target has been configured for the Process Center or Process Server.
To deploy a monitor model with a process application snapshot,
the user or group to which you belong must have been assigned the
Deployer administrative security role. If you are not currently assigned
to the Deployer role, perform the following task before you enable
business monitoring and deploy monitor models:
- Log in to the administrative console.
- Click or .
- Select your user or group to open it.
- Under Roles, select Deployer and
click OK.
About this task
The monitor model collects the data that is transmitted
by way of monitoring events and publishes it to a custom monitoring
dashboard in Business Space so you can view it.
Tip: To collect and generate the most useful monitoring data
possible, define autotracking fields, custom tracking groups, or both.
See the links at the end of this topic for more information.
