Updating KPIs using scripts
You can use scripts to migrate, export, and import key performance indicators (KPIs).
Migrating KPIs allows you to transfer the KPIs you created in one version of a model to a newer version, thus preserving not only the KPIs themselves but also their settings such as range colors and status icons. You can migrate the KPIs from an older version of model to a newer one when you deploy it. However, if you choose not to migrate them at that time, you can do so later using this script.
Exporting and importing KPIs is especially helpful if you are using a staging environment. Using a staging environment, you can test your KPIs and adjust them until you are satisfied with the results. Then, when you are satisfied, you can export the KPIs from the staging environment and import them into your production environment. Exporting and importing KPIs saves you from repeating the work that you did in the staging environment in your production environment.
