Saving custom widgets as templates
You can save a widget as a custom widget template, only when you create the custom widget
for the first time, and when you use APM, ITM, and
ICAM Connectors in the widget. If you use JDBC and
CEM Connectors or saved data definition query in a widget, then you cannot save the
widget as a custom widget template.
Procedure
Complete the following steps to save a custom widget as a custom widget template:

The All Widgets
page displays the following audit trail details for each custom widget:
- Custom widget template name
- Custom widget category
- The templates are never published. Hence, the Published to column does not display any Engine instance name.
- Date and time when the custom widget template was first created, and the username of the user who first created the custom widget template.
- Date and time when the custom widget template was last modified, and the username of the user who last modified the widget template. Only the latest record is displayed.
