Setting Rule Execution Server connections

After your subscription is created, you must set up the server connections.

About this task

As the portal administrator, you set up the authentication that is used in the connections to the servers in your environments.

Procedure

  1. Create a service credential from the shared portal to allow access to the development, test, and run environments. Set the service credential to the operator role for each Rule Execution Server in the environments.
  2. Open Decision Center Business console > Administration > Servers.
  3. Click the + button to create a connection for Rule Execution Server in your portal environment. This server runs the decision services for client applications.
  4. Configure the Rule Execution Server connection for each environment:

  5. Ensure that Use OpenID Connect is not selected.
  6. Enter the ID and password of the service credential, select Deployment in the Usage column, and then save your changes.
  7. For the Decision Service Execution and Test and Simulation Execution servers, remove the OpenID Connect check boxes and add the service credentials.

Results

Now, you can run Decision Center with the servers.
Note: To deploy a decision service to Rule Execution Server in a test or production environment, you must use Decision Center.
