Viewing managed data types
You can review the managed data types that are used by your account styles and any private data types that are configured for your organization.
Before you begin
To access the data configuration section, the system administrator role must be assigned to your login.
About this task
A data type determines the fields that are compiled into monthly data, the primary unit of measure, the scope of the data, and the factors that are applied to the data. You can review the managed data types together with their captions, scope, category, and their associated data type details from the Data Types page.
The Data Types table has the following columns:
- Scope
- The emissions scope of the data type.
- Data type
- The data type name that is used if no data type caption is present.
- Unit
- The unit of the primary measure of the data type.
- Primary measure
- The column of the primary measure.
- Caption
- If configured, the name of the data type as it appears throughout the platform and in reports.
- Category
- The category to which the data type is assigned.
- Notes
- Description of the data type.
- Total cost measure
- Indicates whether a total cost measure is present or not.
- Custom factors
- The number of custom factors configured for the data type.
- Managed factors
- The number of managed factors configured for the data type.
- Account styles
- The number of account styles that are enabled under the data type.
- Factor set
- Lists the factor sets for which the data type has factors.
- Link
- The internal ID of the data type.

From the administrator menu, click .
A landing page opens in a new window.

Click Data Types.
The Data Types page opens. The page shows a table of all managed data types that are used by the account styles that are enabled for your organization and any private data types that are configured.
