Configuring the factor set hierarchy
You can configure the detailed factor set hierarchy to control the order in which the system checks factor sets when compiling monthly data in accounts and meters.
Before you begin
Ensure that you have system administrator access to the data configuration area. Enable detailed
factor set configuration:
- Click .
- In the Detailed Factor Set Hierarchy section, enable the Detailed factor set configuration in data configuration area setting.
- After you enable the setting, you also have the option to configure a factor set algorithm (FSA) transition date as the point from which the system starts applying the new FSA method. Leave the date blank if you also want the detailed method applied to all historical data.
About this task
Use the following procedure to add entries to the factor set hierarchy. You can configure factor sets at different levels, including starting global hierarchy, country default hierarchy, continent default hierarchy, and global default hierarchy.

You have now configured the factor set hierarchy. When the system compiles monthly data, it checks factor sets in the order you specified.
Note: To apply your factor set changes immediately to your previously loaded data, request a factor
refresh from IBM Support.
