GRESB GHG performance indicator data sources

Review a table that outlines how IBM® Envizi ESG Suite assigns corresponding data source values to GRESB GHG performance indicator fields in the GRESB Asset Summary.

Reporting data for GHG requires very little configuration. The only accounts that require tags are those that report for outdoor, exterior, and parking areas. Also, note that GRESB will validate your emissions data, and if your building is configured as Whole Building is Tenant Controlled = true, then GRESB will only accept Scope 3 data.

In the Envizi data source column, data sources are listed in order of priority. The system assigns the first existing data source in the list.

Note: `whole building` tagging is optional. By default all accounts/meters are considered to be tagged as `whole building`.
Scope 2: Location Based - Whole Building - Floor Area Covered	If activity data exists, floor area coverage location setting, asset size (AC), tagged whole building floor area account.
Scope 2: Location Based - Whole Building - Maximum Floor Area	Note: Special condition: If there is no data available for GHG, then GRESB requires that at least the maximum floor area field is populated. Therefore, if the asset is not tenant controlled, then populate with the sum of Base Building floor areas from location settings (RC), Base Building floor area accounts, Whole Building (AC), tagged Whole Building floor area account.
Scope 2: Location Based - Outdoor/ Exterior areas/ Parking - Emissions (tonne)	All Scope 2 LB GHG, within tagged accounts or meters.
Scope 2: Market Based (optional) - Whole Building - Emissions (tonne)	Not supported in GRESB reporting from 2021 onwards. IBM Envizi ESG Suite does have a market-based emissions report available through the Sustainability module. Contact IBM Support to have this configured.
