Managing custom currency exchange rates

In the Custom Currency Rates page, you can create, edit, and delete custom currency exchange rates. You can also run the Setup Custom Currency Rates report template to download and upload custom exchange rates. Custom currency exchange rates overwrite the corresponding IBM® Envizi ESG Suite default currency exchange rate, and are used in currency conversions in reports and dashboards.

Before you begin

To display the Custom Currency Rates page, click Admin > Custom Currency Rates

About this task

The Custom Currency Rates page displays a full list of custom exchange rates for an organization.

Note the following points about custom rates:

You must enter custom rates as the rate used to convert from USD to the specified currency, and not the other way around.
Custom rates support up to only eight decimal places.
Only currency codes that the organization uses are available in the form. The list of currency codes is determined by the country regions of the locations in the organization.
USD is excluded from the currency code list because conversion is not required.

Procedure

Create, edit, and delete custom currency exchange rates

To create a custom currency exchange rate, click Create New and complete the form.
You can add only one custom rate for a specific month and currency code. If you try to enter a duplicated rate, an error message is displayed.
To edit a custom currency exchange rate, select the rate in the grid and click Actions > Edit Custom Rate.
To delete one or more custom currency exchange rates, select the rates in the grid and click Actions > Delete Custom Rate(s).

Download and upload custom exchange rates. For more information about using the Setup Custom Currency Rates report template, see Setting custom currency exchange rates in bulk.

To download the custom exchange rates, click Extract Custom Rates, complete the form, and submit it to run the Setup Custom Currency Rates report template.
To upload bulk-edited custom exchange rates in the Setup Custom Currency Rates report template, click Upload Custom Rates, complete the form and attach the updated Setup Custom Currency Rates report template.
