Location Regions US Zip Code Audit report

Use the IBM® Envizi ESG Suite Location Regions US Zip Code Audit report to list all locations with their assigned regions. For locations that have a US zip code region, the report also shows alternative eGRID subregions that share the zip code, based on information from the US EPA Power Profiler tool.

About this task

In the US, a zip code can be associated with multiple eGRID subregions. In Envizi ESG Suite, subregions have been mapped to a region with a Post Code type and with the region name formatted as the zip code prefix, followed by the area, state and eGRID subregion name. The zip code and eGRID region combination determines the emission factors that are used for reporting emissions. For example, region 24085 - Eagle Rock, VA - RFCW stands for zip code 24085, in the town or city area of Eagle Rock in the state of Virginia, and it uses RFCW eGRID emission factors for its emissions calculation related to electricity consumption .

If you need to reassign a location region to an alternative region with the same zip code but in a different eGRID subregion, use the Location Regions US Zip Code Audit report to audit the US location regions assignment. Run the report as needed to verify the correct assignment of US zip code regions for US locations, to ensure that emissions are reported accurately.

If you use the Envizi ESG Suite API AddOn, a corresponding _Envizi-LocationRegionsUSZipCodeAudit API report is also available to extract the data by API.

1. In global search, select Reports, and enter Location Regions US Zip Code Audit.
2. Select the report from the search results to open the Reports grid.
3. Select the report in the Reports grid.
4. Specify the Group and Location that you want to run the report on.
5. Click Submit.
6. Download the report as a CSV file for offline analysis.
