Specification of profiles

A data preparation profile refers to an input model. It contains the focus of analysis and the features that describe the transformations of the data in the input model.

You can create profiles and save profiles in the Profiles subfolder of the Data Preparation folder in the selected data warehousing project. Within a data warehousing project, profile names must be unique.

You can copy profiles by right-clicking a profile in the Profiles subfolder, selecting Copy, and pasting it into the Profiles subfolder of the same or of a different data warehousing project.
Tip: If you want to copy a profile that uses an input model into another data warehousing project, it is recommended to copy the profile and the input model into the new data warehousing project before you open the profile in the new data warehousing project.

You can also import or export profiles by right-clicking a profile and selecting Import Data Preparation Profile or Export Data Preparation Profile.

You can rename or delete profiles by right-clicking a profile and selecting Rename or Delete.

You can edit a profile by double-clicking a profile name or right-clicking a profile and selecting Open from the menu.
