Instana monitors the HTTPd server by using the Instana HTTPd sensor. The sensor provides insights into the health and performance of an HTTPd server.

Improvements
This release limits the permissions for files created by this sensor. The improvement takes effect only when the sensor is installed in a fresh environment.

This release fixes the null-pointer exception that is caused by the invalid HTTPd configuration in the agent's configuration.yaml file.

This release provides the following enhancements:
- The cache now removes outdated Busybox PIDs when processes terminate.
- A redundant check for process in the inventory is removed.
- The process detection order for Apache-worker and Busybox is optimized, ensuring that Apache-worker is no longer evaluated against Busybox.

Apache HTTPd sensor 1.2.35 is released on 8 January 2026.
Fixes
Fixed Apache HTTPd sensor activation on Windows by increasing the BusyBox detection timeout from 2 to 5 seconds. This change prevents valid Apache processes from being mistakenly excluded.
