Resetting your forgotten password

If you forget your IBM® Verify account password, you can use this information to reset it.

About this task

If the forgot password configuration is enabled by the tenant administrator, after an unsuccessful login attempt, the Forgot password ? option is displayed.

Note: Forgot password is only allowed for cloud directory and onprem ldap users.

When you reset your password, any other existing login sessions are invalidated and you must log in again on those devices with the new password.

Procedure

  1. On the IBM Verify sign-in page, click Forgot password?.
  2. Type your user name and click Continue.

    An email is sent to your registered email address with the instructions for resetting your password. The reset password link expires in 30 minutes.

  3. Click the reset password link that was sent in the email.
    The IBM Verify Sign in is displayed in your browser.
  4. Enter your new password, then reenter your password for confirmation.
    Note: A message is displayed if your new password doesn't meet the requirements for the minimum password length, or number of alphabetical, numeric, and special characters. Follow the guidelines when prompted.
  5. Click Change Password.
    An email is sent to your registered email address that confirms that your password is reset.
  6. Click Return Home to sign in with your new password.
