Upgrading the IBM Verify Bridge for Directory Sync

Follow these steps to update the IBM Verify Bridge for Directory Sync.

Before you begin

Ensure that the Windows™ Event Viewer tool is not running during the upgrade procedure.

About this task

  • The existing configuration and cookie.bin files are preserved.
  • The default Directory Sync Windows service is reset back to the default setting of manual start. Readjust as necessary. For example, reset the service startup configuration from manual to automatic.

Procedure

  1. Stop all Directory Sync Windows service instances that are running.
  2. Uninstall the existing Directory Sync product.
  3. Install the new Directory Sync product.
