Getting help in Streams Studio

You can access help resources while you are using Streams Studio.

Cheat sheets

Streams Studio provides cheat sheets to guide you through the tasks of creating C++ and Java™ primitive operators. To open the cheat sheets in Streams Studio:

  1. From the main menu, click Help > Cheat Sheets.
  2. In the Cheat Sheet Selection window, expand IBM Streams.
  3. Select a cheat sheet and click OK. The cheat sheet opens in the Cheat Sheets view.

Streams publications

You can access Streams publications by clicking Help > Help Contents on the Eclipse workbench.

To access these Streams publications in the Help view:
  1. From the Help menu, select Help Contents.
  2. The publications are listed in the Help view.

SPL programming language help

You can access help for SPL programming language operators and functions while you are editing an SPL application file.

  1. Highlight an operator or function in the application file.
  2. Press Ctrl+F1 to open the Help view.
  3. Click the Search link for the highlighted term in the Help view. The search results are displayed in the view.
  4. Optionally, enter another search term in the Search expression field, and then click Go.
