When you create or edit a tag, you can associate
a resource definition with
it. You can also add or remove individual properties from a resource definition.
The external resource
manager uses default values for
any properties that you do not include in the resource definition.
Procedure
- To add or replace the properties in a resource definition, use the
streamtool settagproperty command. To remove one or more properties in a resource definition, use the
streamtool rmtagproperty command. Alternatively,
edit the tag in Streams
Console.
- To add, replace, or remove the resource definition file that is
associated with a tag, use the streamtool chtag command.
If the file contains properties that are defined with the following format,
you can change or remove the properties by using streamtool settagproperty and
rmtagproperty commands:
name=value. Otherwise, you must update the
definition file and change the tag to use the updated file.
You
cannot use a resource definition file
when you create or edit a tag in Streams
Console.
You can, however, specify the resource definition in
a custom format that is supported by your external resource
manager.
