Importing a content set into a decision plan

You can analyze your decision plan by using a sample set of content items, for example, documents or emails that are similar to those that you expect to classify when IBM® Content Classification is running in production.

Some preparation might be required to convert your content into one of the supported formats such as XML or CSV. You can import a content set when you create a new decision plan project by using the New Project wizard, or you can create an empty decision plan project and import the content set later by using the Import wizard.

The recommended workflow is to import a content set into your decision plan project before you build rules for your decision plan. Following this workflow makes it easier to configure rules. For example, content field names are available for selection in the rule windows after import.

Setting the content type

If your decision plan refers to one or more knowledge bases, be sure to set the content type of at least one field in the content set that contains textual content. The content type determines the method of natural language processing that Content Classification uses to classify content. To set the content type, right-click a field on the Field Definitions panel and select Edit Field.
