The recommended approach for any data migration is to upload the original zip files that the discovery tool produced. This can be done via the AMA UI using the Bulk export and Bulk data upload options.

Data Migration on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform

Complete the following steps to migrate your data.

Back up your existing database

  1. On the AMA UI, click the Bulk export icon located in the top right of the UI.
  2. This creates a bulk export zip file. Save the file to a location you can access later.

Import your data

Import your exported data into AMA 5.0.

  1. On the AMA UI, click the menu on the left-hand side of the UI.
  2. Select Bulk data - Upload.
  3. Select the bulk export zip file that you downloaded in the previous step.
