IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition for z/TPF

IBM® Semeru Runtime® Certified Edition for z/TPF provides development tools and an application runtime environment that meets the Java™ Platform, Standard Edition (Java SE) specification. This support includes open source Java™ technology from the OpenJDK project and the Eclipse OpenJ9 project, with some IBM technology and extensions added.

IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition for z/TPF contains major changes from IBM SDK, Java™ Technology Edition 8 and is built by using the following projects. You can read the documentation for these projects with this documentation, which describes function that is different from or in addition to these projects:

OpenJDK: The open source, reference implementation of the Java SE platform, which was contributed by Oracle in 2007. For documentation, see Java Platform, Standard Edition Documentation on the Oracle website.
Eclipse OpenJ9: A Java virtual machine (JVM) that was contributed by IBM. This JVM replaces the HotSpot JVM that is the default in OpenJDK.

Note: IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition 11 is the new name for the IBM SDK, Java Technology Edition 11.
