Filtering messages
Follow these steps to filter the display of messages for a message board.
About this task
By default, a message board displays all messages (regardless of attributes such as priority, scope, or context). You can use filters with message boards to show only the messages that correspond to a specific scope, set of event names, priority, or other criteria.
Procedure
- To filter by scope or event type:
- Click Filters > Scopes.
- Highlight the scopes that you want to include in message display and click OK.
- Expand the Event tree and select the event types you want to include in message display.
- Click OK.
- To filter by acknowledgement status:
- Click Filters.
- Select or clear the Hide Acknowledged check box.
- Click OK.
- To filter by message priority:
- Click Filters.
- Select or clear the Priorities check boxes as appropriate to show or hide message based on priority. From left to right, the priority check boxes correspond to Critical, High, Medium, Low, Warning, and Information priorities.
- Click OK.
