Viewing the current allocation status

After you have set the configuration options for your MVS systems, and stopped and restarted the started task, select option 1, Current Status on the ATAM main menu to verify that ATAM is working as you configured it.

The Current Status option displays a global view of ATAM information. The status screens reflect information from all of the z/OS images defined in the data set listed in the Configuration Data Set field.

The ATAM Current Status screens are all formatted into two sections, a fixed portion and a dynamic portion. The sections are separated by a line that contains text, such as "All units, "Defined Systems," or "Selectable SYSA Units," describing the data that is displayed in the dynamic area.

To refresh the current status display, simply press Enter. ATAM will obtain the current data available and display it. In some cases, such as the Online field, there is a timing delay in data reporting. The data will refresh when the timing parameters (T1, T2, and T3) have been fulfilled.

Note: Do not type a line command (CMD column) or a command in the Command line before pressing Enter to refresh the data. Otherwise, ATAM will process the command instead of refreshing the data display.
