Configuring
Configuring a TXSeries system involves specifying or modifying the settings that define the properties of your TXSeries environment. TXSeries provides you with a number of administrative tools that you can use to configure your CICS environment, file managers, resource managers, clients, COBOL environment, TXSeries Administration Console, Web services and user exit with TXSeries for Multiplatforms.
Ensure that you have installed the TXSeries product and run the Installation Verification Program. A basic knowledge of the TXSeries such as a definition of file manager and resource manager is desirable.
Ensure that all locale specific environment variables (LANG, LC_*, etc.) in the system are set to any one of the TXSeries supported locale value only. Otherwise, you might see unexpected CICS behavior and issues. You can find the TXSeries supported locales at Installing section under Planning your installation guide in the documentation.
The topic also explains region creation that uses SFS as file manager, to get started. You can also use DB2 or Oracle as file manager.
