Restrictions on the use of characters

Some of the resource definitions described here have a <Key> field. For these fields, some restrictions exist on the use of metacharacters for names if you are using the IBM TXSeries Administration Console, SMIT (CICS for AIX), a similar operating system facility, because these facilities cannot handle them. To specify a name that contains a metacharacter, use the RDO command-line facility.
