Modifying the basic configuration

How to modify the basic configuration of a user agent.

Procedure

  1. In the search field, enter user.
  2. From the search results, click User agent.
  3. Click the name of a user agent to modify.
  4. Optional: In the HTTP request header field, specify the value the user agent transmits as the HTTP request-header field.
  5. Optional: In the Max redirects field, specify the maximum number of HTTP redirect messages to allow before the target is declared as unreachable.
  6. Optional: In the Timeout field, specify the idle timeout to allow before the connection times out and is closed.
  7. Optional: In the Max back persistent reuse field, specify the total number of times that a persistent connection can be used. Enter a value in the range 0 - 100000. The default value is 0, which means unlimited. You cannot use persistent connections with HTTP/2. Therefore, this setting is ignored for the HTTP/2 protocol.
  8. Click Apply to save changes to the running configuration.
  9. Click Save to save changes to the persisted configuration.
