System settings commands

System settings mode provides the commands to modify system information for the DataPower® Gateway.

To enter the configuration mode, use the global system command.

While in this mode, use the commands in the following table to define system settings.

  • To view the current configuration, use the show command.
  • To restore default values, use the reset command.
  • To exit this configuration mode without saving changes to the running configuration, use the cancel command.
  • To exit this configuration mode and save changes to the running configuration, use the exit command.

Command Purpose
admin-state This command sets the administrative state for the configuration.
audit-reserve This command reserves disk space for the audit log.
contact This command defines the details for who to contact to manage the DataPower Gateway.
custom-ui-file This command specifies the location of the custom user interface file.
detect-intrusion This command manages intrusion detection of the appliance in System Settings mode.
entitlement This command specifies the original serial number.
locale This command specifies the locale for the DataPower operating language.
location This command specifies the location of the DataPower Gateway.
name This command sets the identifier for the DataPower Gateway.
summary This command specifies the brief, descriptive summary for the object instance.
system-log-fixed-format This command controls whether the system log format is fixed at the V6.0.1 level.
