IP multicast commands
IP multicast mode provides the commands to create or modify an IP multicast configuration.
To enter the mode, use the global ip-multicast command. To delete an existing instance, use the no ip-multicast command.
While in this mode, use the commands in the following table to define details for the peer group.
- To view the current configuration, use the show command.
- To restore default values, use the reset command.
- To exit this configuration mode without saving changes to the running configuration, use the cancel command.
- To exit this configuration mode and save changes to the running configuration, use the exit command.

| admin-state | This command sets the administrative state for the configuration. |
| buffer-resend-time | This command specifies the time that a transmitted packet remains buffered. |
| interface | This command specifies the local address of the network interface to transmit and receive multicast messages. |
| key | This command specifies the shared secret key to sign and verify packets. |
| max-data-size | This command specifies the maximum allowable size of a transmitted data block. |
| multicast-group | This command specifies the multicast IP group address. |
| nak-retries | This command specifies the number of times to retransmit a missing NAK packet. |
| nak-time | This command specifies the time to wait before a NAK is initially transmitted or retransmitted. |
| port | This command specifies the IP port to transmit and receive multicast packets. |
| summary | This command specifies the brief, descriptive summary for the object instance. |
