Access Manager configuration files
To create and register an Access Manager client, specific configuration files must be available on the DataPower® Gateway.
You need the following files.
- The ASCII version of the client configuration file with the .conf file extension
- The obfuscated version of the client configuration file with the .conf.obf file extension by using the same file name as the ASCII version
- The registry configuration file with the .conf file extension, if using Microsoft Active Directory as the registry
- The key database file with the .kdb file extension
- The key stash file with the .sth file extension
For correct configuration, the configuration files must be in the local: directory. The key files must be in the cert: directory.
When you use the DataPower utilities to create the configuration file, their names are based on
the output file parameter. If the files are created with app1 as the output
file name, the DataPower utility creates the following files.
- app1.conf
- ad_ldap_app1.conf
- app1.kdb
- app1.sth
- appl.conf.obf
