XML parser limits commands
XML parser limits mode provides the commands to create or modify XML parser limits.
To enter the mode, use the global xml parser limits command.
These settings are used only for threat protection. These settings do not affect resource allocation.
While in this mode, use the commands in the following table to modify XML parser limits. The XML parser limits are overridden when you configure settings for XML messages with Parse Settings commands.
- To view the current configuration, use the show command.
- To restore default values, use the reset command.
- To exit this configuration mode without saving changes to the running configuration, use the cancel command.
- To exit this configuration mode and save changes to the running configuration, use the exit command.

| max-local-names | This command specifies the maximum number of distinct XML local names in a document. |
| max-namespaces | This command specifies the maximum number of distinct XML namespace URIs in a document. |
| max-node-size | This command specifies the maximum size of a single XML node. |
| max-prefixes | This command specifies the maximum number of distinct XML namespace prefixes in a document. |
| summary | This command specifies the brief, descriptive summary for the object instance. |
