To add one or more nodes to a diagram, you can use the keyboard from the Quick Add
function in the web editor.
About this task
Instead of using the mouse and the tools from the palette to add elements to diagram one at
a time, you can create a list of nodes that can be added to your diagram in one step from the
Quick Add window. The nodes that you can add by using the
Quick
Add function can include one or more of the nodes that are available in the editor
palette.
Procedure
To add nodes to a diagram by using the keyboard, complete
the following steps:
- Open the web editor that you want to work with.
- In the Diagram view, ensure that the focus is on the canvas, and then
press the Q key. If necessary, use the Tab key to bring the focus back to the canvas. The Quick Add window opens.
- To view the available node types, press Ctrl and the space bar at the same
time for content assistance. From the list, select the node that you want to add and click
Add. You can also add nodes in the following ways:
- In the Properties view of each newly
added node, update the node name and its properties as required.
- Click Save or
