Creating message pathways in communication diagrams

To show the messages that pass between the lifelines in a communication diagram, you must begin by creating a message pathway.

Before you begin

You must have a communication diagram open that contains at least two lifelines.

In the Palette, click Message Pathway.
In the diagram editor, click one lifeline and drag the cursor to the second lifeline.

The two lifelines are connected by a solid line to which you can now add messages.
