Upgrading IBM Business Automation Workflow to 26.0.0.0
During the upgrading process, you install a new release of the product over the previous release and update the existing installation, configuration, and database in place. Before you upgrade, you must back up your profiles and databases. A profile defines a unique runtime environment, with separate command files, configuration files, and log files.
Supported upgrade paths for Business Automation Workflow Traditional
You can upgrade the following Business Automation Workflow Traditional versions
to 26.0.0.0 by using
IBM Installation
Manager UI with the
delta repository (workflow.26000.delta.repository.zip):
- 21.0.3
- 22.0.x
- 23.0.x
- 24.0.x
- 25.0.0
- 25.0.1
Supported upgrade paths for Business Automation Workflow on Containers
Starting with 26.0.0.0-IF001, you can upgrade the following Business Automation Workflow on Containers versions directly to 26.0.0.0:
- 25.0.0
- 25.0.1
Deployments that use an external PostgreSQL database or Cloud Native PostgreSQL (CNPG) are supported. Upgrade from BAW on Containers v24.0.x to v26.0.0 is a separate migration path. Upgrading from Business Automation Workflow 25.0.1.0
Business Automation Workflow 25.0.1.0 requires a different upgrade procedure.
- When you perform the upgrade through the Installation Manager UI, use the Business Automation Workflow 26.0.0.0 Disk 2 full repository (
WorkflowEnterprise.dvd.26000.windows.x86.disk2.zip). - If you use the delta repository (
workflow.26000.delta.repository.zip), the upgrade must be performed in Silent Mode.
