Before you begin

The server must be running.

About this task

To enable the Java debugging mode for a server, perform the following steps.

Procedure

  1. From the administrative console of the deployment manager,
    click Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers, and then click the application server with the processes that you want to trace and debug.
  2. Click Server infrastructure > Java and Process Management > Process Definition > Java Virtual Machine.
  3. On the Java virtual machine page, click Debug mode to enable the standard Java debugger.
  4. If required, set Debug Mode arguments.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Save the changes.
  7. Stop and restart the server.
