Branding options for Android devices

Information about customizing options that are displayed to the user on their Android device during and after device enrollment.

Note: The following sections use a sample company that is named ACME Corp and display all possible branding options that are customizable for the MaaS360® Portal. Each section provides an explanation of the branding option in the MaaS360 Portal and how the branding affects that option in the Portal.

Web Enrollment page banner and description

When a user accesses the Android enrollment URL from a browser, the Android Web Enrollment page is displayed. You can customize the banner and the description that is displayed on the page.

The user can customize the following options in the page:
  • The product name and logo
  • Add a link to the instructions page created to guide on the enrollment process
  • Add support information such as email and contact number
Web Enrollment page banner: The background image that is displayed on the enrollment URL web page.
  • Suggested image size: 1076 x 472 pixels
  • Suggested image file format: PNG or GIF

Enrollment URL page description: The description that is displayed on the enrollment URL web page. This description is supported on MaaS360 for Android 5.35+.

Device enrollment screens

  1. Title for the Corporate ID and Email Address: The first screen that is displayed when the user taps the enrollment URL on their Android device and downloads the MaaS360 MDM for Android app.
    • Title for the corporate ID and email address: This screen prompts the user for their corporate ID and email address. You can customize the title instructions and enrollment steps. This option is supported on MaaS360 for Android 5.35+.
    • Title and list of enrollment steps: The text that is displayed as the title for the list of enrollment steps. To add a list of steps to the enrollment process, use a vertical bar | as a delimiter. This option is supported on MaaS360 for Android 5.35+.
  2. Authentication screen: The Authentication screen requires users to enter a one-time passcode from their enrollment request email. You can customize the text-based title instructions. This option is supported on MaaS360 for Android 5.35+.
  3. License Agreement screens: You can customize the text-based title for the License Agreement and the Accept Terms checkbox. This customization applies to the MaaS360 standard usage agreement and your organization's specific usage agreement. This option is supported on MaaS360 for Android 5.35+.

WorkPlace Home screen logo

The WorkPlace Home screen logo is displayed when you launch the MaaS360 App. You can replace the standard MaaS360 logo with your own customized logo.

  • Suggested image size: 640 x 166 pixels
  • Suggested image file format: PNG or JPG

Password prompt message for IBM MaaS360 Mail setup

You can customize the text-based password prompt that is displayed to the user during the first-time setup of IBM® MaaS360 Mail. You can also modify the text that is displayed to sync your account contacts to the device checkbox.

Password change message for IBM MaaS360 Mail

You can customize the text-based message that is displayed to users of IBM MaaS360 Mail when they want to change their password.

MaaS360 icons

You can customize the following icons for the MaaS360 App for Android:
  • Device Out of Compliance icon: The image that is displayed in the notification tray when a device is out of compliance.

  • App Upgrade Notification icon: The image that is displayed in the notification tray when a new version of an app is deployed through the MaaS360 App Catalog.

App Catalog drawer image

You can customize the background image for the drawer menu in theMaaS360 App Catalog for Android according to your organization's specific image or logo.
  • Suggested image size: 1000 x 400 pixels
  • Suggested image file format: PNG or JPG

App Catalog announcement message

You can customize the welcome message that a user receives in the announcement notification section of the MaaS360 App Catalog for Android. This message is displayed from the Announcements menu in the App Catalog.

App Catalog Enterprise App label

You can customize the default label (Corporate) that is displayed for nonpublic (enterprise) apps in the App Catalog to your organization's specific label.
