New apps detected metrics
The New apps detected metrics provide statistics on new apps that were detected on all iOS and Android devices in the MaaS360® Community.
The New apps detected metrics are collected in a report each week. If a new app is added to a device when data is being collected to generate the report, then the app is added to the new apps detected report for the next week.

Viewing an example of the metrics in a generated report
In the following
example, the New apps detected metrics provide statistics on an organization
in the Healthcare industry with a large deployment of devices:

In the graph, the following statistics apply:
- The trend line illustrates that the number of new apps that are detected on iOS devices (red trend line) is more than the number of new apps that are detected on Android devices (blue trend line) during the collection of data for the report.
- Hover over a trend line in the graph to view the new apps that are detected during the
collection of data for the report:
- The 27-Feb-17 setting includes all the new apps that are added between 27 February 2017 and 05 March 2017.
- The 06-Mar-17 setting includes all the new apps that are added between 06 March 2017 and 12 March 2017.
- The Last Week setting includes all the new apps that are added between 27 March 2017 and 02 April 2017.
- The Current Week setting includes all the new apps that are added between 03 April 2017 and 09 April 2017.
- If new apps are added between 10 April 2017 and 16 April 2017, the new app count is displayed in the data that is collected for the 10 April 2017 report.
The statistics that are provided in the example illustrate how to work with metrics across various industries and with different deployment sizes. Use this data as a guide to improving the security and efficiency of your mobile environment.
