Viewing iOS device settings in the MaaS360 Secure Container

View the settings for iOS devices in the MaaS360® Secure Container.

1. Tap the Settings icon .
   The settings that are available for iOS devices in the MaaS360 Secure Container are displayed.
2. Tap [device name] General Info.
   The following settings are displayed.

   Setting	Description
   Account Number	The IBM MaaS360 account number for your organization.
   Device Name	The name of the device that is displayed in the MaaS360 Secure Container.
   Device ID	The unique identifier for the device, based on the identification number from Apple for the device in the MaaS360 Secure Container.
   Last App Sync	The last time the MaaS360 Secure Container app synced with MaaS360.

3. Tap User Info.
   The following settings are displayed:

   Setting	Description
   Username	The IBM MaaS360 name for the user of the device. This name is the name that is displayed on the MaaS360 enrollment request.
   Domain	The IBM MaaS360 domain that the device is assigned to.
   Email	The email address in IBM MaaS360 for the user of the device.

4. Tap Device Policy.
   The following settings are displayed.

   Setting	Description
   MDM	The IBM MaaS360 Mobile Device Management (MDM) policy that is in effect on the device.
   WorkPlace	The IBM MaaS360 policy that is in effect in the MaaS360 Secure Container.
   App Inventory	The apps on the device that report to IBM MaaS360.
   Device Location	The location of the device that is reported to IBM MaaS360.
   Out of compliance reasons	The reasons that the device might be out of compliance with corporate policies.

5. Tap Locations.
   The location of the device is displayed on a map.
6. Tap System Settings.
   The following settings are displayed:

   Setting	Description
   Text Size	The bar that adjusts the text size in the MaaS360 Secure Container.
   Allow MaaS360 to Access	The features and data that IBM MaaS360 accesses on the device, including location, contacts, notifications, camera, photos, and background app refresh. Tap MaaS360 System Settings to access the MaaS360 app Settings screen for the device.

7. Tap PIN.
   The following settings are displayed:

   Setting	Description
   Disable PIN	Disables the PIN code for the MaaS360 Secure Container. If your organization requires the use of a PIN code to access the MaaS360 Secure Container, this function is disabled.
   Change PIN	Changes the PIN code for the MaaS360 Secure Container. The PIN code must comply with the security policies in effect for your organization. For example, the security policy might require a lengthy and complex PIN code.
   Lock MaaS360	Requires a PIN code to access the MaaS360 Secure Container.
   Idle timeout (View only)	Displays how long the MaaS360 Secure Container times out before the container is locked.

8. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks.
   The following settings are displayed.

   Setting	Description
   Account name	The name on the account. You can also create a new email password.
   App badge count	Specifies which areas that you want the app badge to count. All Sections: All changes to items in the container are counted. For example, if you use the MaaS360 Secure Mobile Mail app and MaaS360 Secure Doc Sharing app, the count includes unread email messages, calendar changes, new documents, new email messages, and new tasks. Unread Mails: Unread email messages are included in the count. Don’t include Email/Calendar: All changes to items in the container are counted, except for new email messages and calendar changes.
   Days to Sync (Mail)	Syncs a portion of your email messages on specific days to prevent MaaS360 Secure Mobile Mail from using too much space on your device.
   Preview Lines	Specifies the number of lines that you want displayed when you preview an email message.
   Conversations	Organizes email messages by threads or conversations.
   Confirm before delete	Notifies you before you delete an email message.
   Download inline images in background	Downloads email images automatically when you receive an email message that includes images.
   Auto download attachments smaller than 100 KB	Downloads an attachment automatically when you receive an email message that includes a small attachment.
   Signature	Displays your email signature for email messages that you send.
   Show To/Cc label	Displays To and CC information for email messages that you receive.
   Browsing mails	Displays browsing options for email messages.
   Days to Sync (Calendar)	Syncs calendar entries on your calendar.
   Dial-in Prefix	The prefix that the automatic dialer uses for dialing from a calendar entry. The automatic dialer uses this prefix for numbers that do not begin with +, 1, or 0.
   Start Week On	The day that the calendar week for the Week, Month, and Year views begin on.
   Conference Number	The telephone number that is included by default in your meeting invitations.
   Moderator PIN	The PIN associated with the conference number. The PIN is also included by default in your meeting invitations.
   Calendar	The calendar that is used for new events.
   Export Corporate Contacts	The location of exported corporate contacts outside the MaaS360 Secure Container. This location might be determined by your Administrator.
   Tasks	The new events or tasks that are displayed by default on the calendar.
   Email Reminder Time	The default reminder times for email messages. Later today: How many hours later that day that the reminder is displayed. Tomorrow: The time tomorrow that the reminder is displayed. Weekend: The day and time during the weekend that the reminder is displayed.
   Out of the Office	Creates a notification message for email messages and meeting invitations that you receive when you are unavailable. On the Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks screen, tap Launch Tour to view basic information about the products or tap Reset Account to return your settings back to their default settings.

9. Tap Notifications.
   The following settings are displayed.

   Setting	Description
   New Mail	Notifies you when you receive a new email message from all mail, favorite contacts, or none.
   New Mail Sound	The sound that you hear when you receive a new email message. You can choose a second sound for email messages from favorite contacts.
   Sent Mail Sound	The sound that you hear when you send an email message.
   Event Reminders	Notifies you before an event.
   Event Reminder Sound	The sound that you want to hear before an event.
   New Invite	Notifies you when you receive a new invitation.
   New Invite Sound	The sound that you want to hear when you receive a new invitation.
   Task Reminders	Reminds you when a task is due.
   Task Reminder Sound	The sound that you want to hear when a task is due.

10. Tap Quick Switch Alignment to specify where the MaaS360 Secure Container icon is displayed on the screen.
