Editing a text file in the MaaS360 Mobile Document Editor

Edit a text file in the MaaS360® Mobile Document Editor app on iOS and Android devices.

Procedure

  1. On the iOS device, tap the text file in the IBM® MaaS360 app container to open that file for editing.
  2. Tap the Pencil icon Pencil icon to start editing the file.
    The following options are displayed in edit mode for the text file.
    Option Description
    Arrow icon Closes the text file.
    Undo icon Undoes your changes in the text file.
    Redo icon Reapplies your changes to the text file.
    Binoculars icon Displays advanced options for the text file.
    Cog icon Displays the Font editor.
    More options icon Saves the text file, searches and replaces text in the file, or displays comments about the file.
  3. Tap the Binoculars icon to display the Find/Replace bar on the main screen.
  4. Tap the Cog icon to change the font size or text in the file.
  5. Tap Finish, and then Save.

Edit a text file in the MaaS360 Mobile Document Editor app on Android devices.

Procedure

  1. On the Android device, start the IBM MaaS360 app and tap the Docs icon.
  2. Go to Corporate Docs and tap the text file to open in the IBM MaaS360 Editor to edit.
  3. Tap the Pencil icon Pencil icon to enter the Edit mode. The following options are available in Edit mode.
    Option Description
    Undo icon Reverts your last change that is made to the text file.
    Redo icon Reapplies a previously undone change to the text file.
    Search icon Search a specific text in the document.
    Additional Features: Ribbon Menu and Quick Access: The IBM MaaS360 Editor provides an enhanced Ribbon menu and Quick Access for mobile and tablet users. These features improve navigation and are available for supported file formats such as Word, Slide, Sheet, PDF, and TXT.
    Hamburger icon Helps to Save, Save As, and Exit the file.
