Configuring the Lookout for Work app distribution

The Lookout for Work app must be added to the Applications Library in the IBM® MaaS360® Portal for users to download and install on devices.

Adding the Lookout for Work app for iOS

The iTunes App store does not provide a Lookout for Work app for iOS. You might locate an iTunes version, but that version might not include malware detection features that are included with this integration. The resigned Enterprise version of Lookout for Work is only supported for this integration.
  1. Download the Lookout for Work iOS App file (.ipa file name extension) from the Lookout MES console.
  2. Follow the instructions on how to resign the file with your Apple Developer Enterprise Certificate and resave the file to use in the enterprise. The resigning process provides a chain of trust with your enterprise that replaces the Apple iTunes App verification process.
    Note: Contact Lookout Support for assistance with the IPA file.
  3. Add the Lookout for Work app to the Apps section in the IBM MaaS360 Portal, and then follow the steps to configure and upload the app to use in your enterprise.

App configuration parameters

To enroll users correctly in the Lookout MES console, you must configure parameters for the Lookout for Work app in the IBM MaaS360 Portal. Use the following parameters:

GLOBAL_ENROLLMENT_CODE ABCDEFG (Use the global enrollment code from the System Account page in the Lookout MES console for this value. The global enrollment code is displayed as seven uppercase letters.)
