Enabling certificate authentication with the enterprise gateway

Users can authenticate with the enterprise gateway by using identity certificates.

In previous releases of Mobile Enterprise Gateway (MEG), users entered credentials to authenticate with the enterprise gateway. With the Mobile Enterprise Gateway (MEG) version 2.90, users can authenticate with the enterprise gateway by using identity certificates.

Mobile Enterprise Gateway (MEG) certificate authentication supports the following devices.
  • iOS 3.2.2 and later
  • Android 5.75 and later
Mobile Enterprise Gateway (MEG) version 2.90 supports the following types for certificate authentication.
  • A public key infrastructure (PKI) certificate
  • An internal IBM® MaaS360® certificate
