The Db2 Merge Backup command

Use the db2mbk command to merge backup data with Db2 Merge Backup.

To run the db2mbk command, open a command line and type db2mbk followed by a space and the option that you want to perform. For example, db2mbk option. You must include at least one of the following options: -f, -d, -h, or -v. All other command-line options are optional.

Long and abbreviated options

Where appropriate, you can specify the long or the abbreviated option name, such as using either -version or -v to represent the version. The recommended syntax for using the long option name is to specify two dashes in front of the option instead of one. For example, to run Db2 Merge Backup and to display the version of the product that is currently running, type the following command:
db2mbk --version
