Pre-installation tasks

Before you install IBM Certified Container Software for IBM Sterling Secure Proxy, complete the following tasks:
  1. Setting up your registry server: You must have a registry server where you can host the image required for installation.
  2. Setting up Namespace or project: You must have an existing namespace/project or create a new if required.
  3. Installing and configuring IBM Licensing and Metering service: Ensure that this service is installed on your cluster.
  4. Downloading the Certified Container Software image: Ensure that the installation files are available on your client system.
  5. Creating Pod Security policy for Kubernetes cluster: Ensure you have created the required PSP using provided scripts.
  6. Creating the security context constraints for OpenShift cluster: Ensure you have created the required SCC using provided scripts.
  7. Creating storage for data persistence: Ensure you have required storage option ready to be used.
  8. Creating secret: Ensure you have secrets needed for IBM Sterling Secure Proxy configuration and pull secret (if required).
  9. Configuring the deployment: Ensure you go through various parameters of values.yaml with their default values. Update those default values required and supported by IBM Certified Container Software for IBM Sterling Secure Proxy.
