Rotating security credentials in Db2 Warehouse SaaS

We highly recommend rotating your credentials on a monthly basis to enhance security and reduce the risk of unauthorized access. Regular credential rotation helps protect sensitive information and ensures compliance with best security practices.

To rotate your credentials, perform the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Access the Administration Page:
    • Once logged in, go to Administration.
  2. Create a New Alias:
    • Navigate to Storage Objects
    • Click on Object storage aliases tab
    • Click on Create object storage alias button
    • Configure you new credentials
  3. Update Credentials in Audit:
    • Navigate to the Audit page
    • On the Audit page, click on the Edit audit button
    • Choose your new alias in the Cloud object storage section
  4. Save Changes:
    • Click next to Summary click Enable to apply the new settings
