Specifying the analytic data view editor advanced mode
To modify the data model for an analytic data view, you must enable the advanced mode.
About this task
Many analyses require an analytic data view that contains a data model that consists of a single table. If your data model requires a more complex structure, you must enable the advanced mode. In this mode, you can manually define tables and attributes, create derived attributes, and specify table relationships. You can import a data model corresponding to an IBM® Operational Decision Manager Business Object Model (BOM), or export a data model as an archive file.
Procedure
- In the Content Explorer, right-click the server name and select Properties.
- In the Properties dialog box, open the User Preferences section and select Analytic Data View Editor Advanced Mode.
- Select Advanced Mode to enable editing of the data model for analytic data views. Clear this option to disable data model editing.
- Click OK.
Results
If you enable the advanced mode, the Data View Configuration tab is available when you open the analytic data view editor. If you disable this mode, the tab is not available.
