Waste management application

Purpose

Waste management application enables Maximo Health, Safety and Environment officers, supervisors, or managers with the following activities.

• Track waste from generation to final disposal
• Manage waste storage and handling processes
• Comply with regulatory requirements
• Generate compliance reports
• Monitor waste amounts by location

The waste management records are created and managed at the site level in the application.

Key capabilities

The Waste Management application provides the following capabilities:

Waste tracking

Create and manage waste records with detailed information about waste type, amount, location, and associated assets.

Disposal planning

Define disposal plans including disposal methods, locations, dates, and responsible parties.

Inspections

Associate inspection forms with waste records and create inspection results to help ensure compliance with storage and handling requirements.

Regulatory compliance

Link waste records to applicable regulations and track compliance requirements.

Hazards

Flag hazardous materials for special handling, trigger additional compliance requirements and ensures proper disposal procedures are followed.

Checklists

Manage standard actions and action groups to help ensure that all required activities are completed.

Certifications

Track certifications required for waste storage, handling, and disposal.

Related records

Create and track related work orders, service requests, incidents, audits, and other waste management records.

Map view

Visualize waste storage and disposal locations on a map. For the map view, Maximo Spatial must be configured.

Job plan integration

Plan waste generation in job plans and track actual waste that is produced during work order execution.
