Pre-start actions on management of change records

Pre-start actions are activities that you must complete before the initiation of a change. For example, you might specify that a risk analysis is essential before the change and assign that action (complete the risk analysis) to someone.

You add pre-start actions to a management of change (MOC) record in the MOC application. You can add individual actions, or you can select from a list of standard actions or standard action groups. You can also assign either the owner or the owner group responsible for the pre-start action.

If you select standard action groups or owner groups, the status of the group must be Active. Only those actions in the group that meet the following conditions are added to the MOC record:
