Creating specifications for location profiles
You can use specifications to location profiles that are categorized according to predefined types. You can also use specifications to add standards-based information that is important for compliance with plant and industry standards.
Before you begin
A classification must be assigned to the location profile for which you want to develop a specification.
About this task
You create specifications for a location profile record by specifying values for the attributes that belong to the location profile classification. You can also add attributes that do not belong to the classification, but are relevant to the location profile. The additional attributes and attribute values that you specify in the location profile record do not affect the original classification.
Procedure
- In the Location Profile application, open the location profile record that you want to modify and go to the Specifications tab.
- Select the classification that is assigned to the location profile record.
- In the Specifications table, specify values for the attributes that belong to the location profile classification.
- Optional: Add new attributes and specify values.
- Save the record.
