Labor reporting
To track the amount of time that is spent on each item, you can report labor time for incident records and activities. You can access labor time details for either the incident record or for specific activities in the Time Tracking table on the Activities tab of the incident record. Each entry in the Time Tracking table represents a labor transaction.
Report labor time for the incident record
To report labor time for the incident record as a whole, create a row in the Time Tracking table. Assign labor to this entry, and then enter the start and end times for the work.
The entries in the Time Tracking table relate to the incident record as a whole. For this reason, no activity is specified. If necessary, you can modify other details to complete your entry. You can create as many labor transactions as you need for the incident record as a whole.
Report labor time for an activity
To report labor time for a specific activity, you must first create an entry in the Time Tracking table by assigning labor to the activity. When you create the necessary entry, enter the start and end times for work that relates to the activity. If necessary, you can modify other details to complete your entry.
Approval of labor transactions
When an incident record reaches a status of Closed, all unapproved labor transactions are automatically approved.
