Status of improvement records
The status of an improvement indicates its position in the processing cycle and the actions that can be done on the record.
If the record has child work orders that inherit status changes, any status change also applies to eligible child work orders.
Options in the Organizations application control the statuses during which you can update estimated costs and benefits.
| Status | About this status |
|---|---|
| WAPPR | Waiting for Approval. The improvement is waiting for approval. This status is the default status of a new improvement. You can delete the improvement and its child improvements if they have no workflow history. |
| APPR | Approved. The improvement is approved. You cannot delete the improvement, and you cannot delete tasks from the improvement. You can enter actuals against the improvement. |
| CAN | Canceled. The improvement is canceled. You can use this status when you want to delete the record and deletion is not allowed. Any selected improvement that is not initiated is canceled. After you cancel the improvement, it becomes a history record and you can change it only by selecting Edit History Improvement from the More Actions menu. |
| CLOSE | Closed. The improvement is finalized. After the record is closed, you cannot change the status. After you close the improvement, it becomes a history record and you can change it only by selecting Edit History Improvement from the More Actions menu. |
| COMP | Completed. All work on the improvement is complete. If you planned to move or change an asset on the work order, the move or change occurs when the status is changed to COMP. |
| INPRG | In Progress. Work on the improvement is in progress. |
| WMATL | Waiting for Materials. Work on the improvement is temporarily stopped until essential materials are available. |
| WPCOND | Waiting on Plant Condition. Work is temporarily stopped until plant conditions are correct. |
