Creating specifications for hazards
You can use specifications to define hazards that are categorized according to predefined types. You can also use specifications to add standards-based information that is important for compliance with plant and industry standards.
Before you begin
A classification must be assigned to the hazard record for which you want to develop a specification.
About this task
You create specifications for a hazard record by specifying values for the attributes that belong to the hazard classification. You can also add attributes that do not belong to the classification, but are relevant to the hazard record. The additional attributes and attribute values that you specify in the hazard record do not affect the original classification.
Procedure
- In the Hazards application, open the hazard record that you want to modify and go to the Specifications tab.
- Select the classification that is assigned to the hazard record.
- In the Specifications table, specify values for the attributes that belong to the hazard classification.
- Optional: Add new attributes and specify values.
- Save the record.
