You create a hazard record to ensure that employees who work with work assets (assets and
locations) are informed of potential dangers that are associated with those assets.
Procedure
- In the Hazards application, click New Hazard.
- In the Hazard field, specify an
identifier for the hazard.
- Optional: In the Type field, specify the type of hazard.
- Optional: Specify details for the
hazard, such as the source of the hazard and the regulation associated
with the hazard.
- Specify the type of information that you associate with the hazard. If you associate a
tag out procedure with the hazard, you cannot also associate a precaution or a hazardous material
with the hazard.

- If you selected the Can Have Hazardous Materials checkbox,
complete the fields in the Hazardous Material Information section.
- Click Save Hazard.
What to do next
- In the Precautions application, you can create a precaution to
associate with the hazard.
- In the Assets application or the Locations application, you can
associate the hazard with an asset or a location.
