Revising consequence records
You can apply revision control to consequence records. When you revise a consequence record, a record of the changes is saved.
About this task
You can enable or disable revision control by using the System Settings action in the Organizations application.
You can revise consequence records that are in active status only. When you revise a consequence record, the record is duplicated with the same name, and the revision number incremented by 1. The original record is assigned a status of REVISED and can no longer be changed. The revised record is assigned a status of PNDREV until it is either activated or canceled.
After you activate or cancel a revised consequence record, you cannot delete it.
Procedure
- In the Risk Matrix application, select the consequence record that you want to revise.
- Select the Revise Consequence action.
- Enter a description for the revised consequence, and click
OK.
The revised record has a status of pending revision. The original record remains in active status.
- Update the revised consequence record.
- After all changes are completed, change the revised record to active
status. The original record automatically changes to revised status and it can no longer be changed.
- Save the revised consequence record.
